Tangs @ Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Contract Value: RM9,500,000
Date: May – August 2007
Interior Designer: Q&A

The CK Tang project was technically demanding and extremely challenging, pushing the limits of resourcefulness and creativity. From the flooring and wall paneling to the specially tailored furnishing including such exquisite pieces as individually crafted rattan lamps and metal light installations with laser-cut motifs, a huge amount of craftsmanship and detail went into realising the essence of the designer’s concepts. Creating the intricate ceiling masterpiece was the most challenging task; it was woven from four interlinked layers of cemboard, with every hole in the complex weaving of the exact equal size and dimension, require intense precision and finesse.
