Mosaic, the All-Day Dining venue at the Mandarin Oriental, is akin to a luxurious Peranakan mansion, partially due to our exhausive work on the detailed, elaborate interiors that capture the essence and spirit of Peranakan history, culture and heritage.
The interior of main dining hall was decorated with the eye catching pewter lights hanging from a ceiling crafted from walnut timber weaving. These cast calming mood lighting on the exceptional surroundings, from the custom made columns featuring ceramic glaze tiles with floral borders and specially crafted ceramic mosaic tiles with Malaysian motifs, to elegant dining tables made of leather imported from the US, buffet counters with black granite tops and textured glass displays as well as cabinets with drawers sporting beautiful tailor-made knobs.
In the VIP rooms, its ceiling lights made of stained glass, imported from the US and painstakingly put together by our artisans. This perfectly compliments the ornate carpet flooring upon which sits exquisitely crafted custom made furniture enhanced by our signature premium quality upholstery.
What’s truly a testament of our commitment to excellence is the fact that our team of craftmen produced mock-ups of every single detail that now fills the exception interiors of the Mosaic; it just goes to show that when passion exists, true artistry flourishes.
